Next official project meeting in Istanbul.

The city of Istanbul will be the next partner to host the meeting to “Scenario sharing & selecting topics for roadmaps”. It will take place from 24th to 25th may, 2016 in Istanbul.

In this occasion we will pool all the visions created during the “Scesario Workshops” in the phase 2 “Vision development” where we will have to identify which are the similarities and diferences between all partners’ vision. Beside,s we will also start thinking about which kind of specific actions and projects can be envisaged in order to create the different roadmaps for all partner cities.

Apart from the “Joint Vision” Workshop and the Steering Commettee meeting this trip will also include the following interesting study visits:

•  The traffic Control Center (smart traffic management): Information will be given about IMM’s Traffic Control Center, how it works, what it does, which technologies are used in Istanbul for smart traffic management.
• The Metrobüs (Edirnekapı-Burhaniye), Marmaray (Yenikapı). Smart Public Transport: Information will be given about Metrobus/Marmaray and how they’re operated/monitored, etc. It is planned to get on both ,metrobus and marmaray, to cross the bridge.
• A Smart Building: Küçükçekmece. Municipality Building has been recently constructed and it’s the first BREEAM certified public building in Turkey. Information will be given about lighting, energy efficiency/production, recycling systems, etc.

We are sure this will be a fruitful and interesting project meeting and we’ll soon share the outcomes and progresses that will take place there.
