CEESEN conference with R4E involvement

Last week in Prague, 200 participants from 11 countries participated in the international conference of CEESEN — Central Eastern European Sustainable Energy Network — where they learned how transition to more sustainable communities can be achieved. The conference, held on 19-20th October, gathered professionals and opinion leaders from the region to collectively design a path for energy transition by 2050. The high-level event with 25 speakers highlighted the roles of different sectors, and success stories from low-carbon community projects and innovations. Participants gained insight into the many processes that are needed to push for sustainable communities, such as Sustainable Energy Planning and designing roadmaps. They also learned about effective approaches towards Stakeholder Engagement, obtaining funding and building public support towards renewables which are key parts to effective Energy Advocacy efforts.

The Roadmaps for energy Porject was invited to make a presentation of the key points of the project and provide a brief explanation about the goals, benefits of the project and methodology used. Murcia, as the communication and dissemination corrdinator of the project was present in the conference on behalf of the consortium. It was also a nice opportunity to make networking not only with the PANEL 2050 project but also with other representatives from different organisation related to energy efficiency across Europe.
